Jocelyn Petit-Jean, of Flamboyant Talent Media Group- a public relations and marketing firm specializing in entertainment and event management- has never forgotten the care she received from doctors and staff at the hospital back in 1995. In fact, Jocelyn finds inspiration in the hospital’s kind generosity, committing to using her platform to raise awareness of Leukemia and honor the men and women who treated her cancer all those years ago.

“During those days, the hospital was like my second home. The doctors and the staff were like my family. They treated me like family and they did everything they could to help me and my family understand what was happening with the cancer. I always knew that one day I would come back to show my gratitude.” Said Jocelyn.

Jocelyn began treatment at Joe DiMaggio Hospital in 1995 when she was initially diagnosed with Leukemia. She continued to receive treatment but in 2000, Joycelyn went into remission and the cancer returned causing Jocelyn to spend most of her childhood days in the hospital with treatments and doctor visits.

15 years later, Jocelyn is hosting the 'Shades of Orange Gala,’ honoring the three doctors whom she credited to saving her life and to raise awareness about leukemia, in hopes of raising funds for those most affected by the disease.

The gala will honor Dr Deborah Kramer MD in pediatric hematology and oncology, Dr. Iftikhar Hanif MD in pediatric hematology and oncology alongside the hospital’s beloved children’s clown, Lotsy Dotsy, chief of clown services for her 22 years of service at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.

The night will feature a special awards ceremony, live performances, silent auctions, entertainment and dinner for guests to enjoy.
