Rick Ross opened up his Fayettville, Georgia, estate for the first annual Promise Land Car and Bike show this past Saturday. The rapper allowed auto and rap enthusiasts to check out some of Rozay’s most prized possessions. We’re talking everything from a Lamborghini Murcielago and custom 1971 Chevrolet Impala to novelty vehicles like a firetruck and a camo tank.
Our CEO and the founder of Why Hip Hop partnered with Street Elements Magazine to cover Rick Ross Car & Bike Show.
The event feature DJ sets, 20 food trucks, vendors and prizes for the best showcases. Rick Ross gifted the winners with 24 karat diamond chains. Judges Flew in from Cali and a few other states to keep the votes balanced, credible and meaningful.
Rick Ross was not involved in the competition.
In fact, the Maybach Music Boss was spotted making purchase from the vendors on his 235-acre mansion.
Balenciaga has gone public in New York and showed its spring collection for 2023 on Sunday between screens with flickering share prices. The fashion house also has the German sports giant Adidas in its baggage, which is currently very popular for luxury collaborations, and here, at the most recent, the boundaries between the fashion hypes and the stock exchange become blurred. Logomania and sportswear meet business looks with a touch of latex - fitting into the style of designer Demna Gvasalia.
Share prices flicker across the screens, the audience sits in between and conversations mingle - a hustle and bustle like a normal day at the stock exchange, except that the monitors are the only source of light. A chime, like the signal for the start of the trading day, interrupts the hustle and bustle and introduces the show.
The Chicago rapper is taking youth from his embattled southside community to explore new opportunities. Lil Durk’s Neighborhood Heroes Foundation recently surprised 20 southside kids with Sox suite tickets. The students will be a part of their newest black college tour program, taking the students to different HBCU Colleges as they work to expose them to different career opportunities.
Dirkio's organization also surprised students with a meeting with former president Barack Obama. Neighborhood Heroes also teamed up with fellow nonprofit organization, Chicago Votes, to deliver over 29,000 16oz bottles of hand sanitizer, to people throughout Illinois prisons.
